Bennett Thrasher LLP, one of the top 100, full-service public accounting and consulting firms in the country, has named Vijay Vaswani as Managing Director of its Transaction Advisory Services practice. Highlighted by his time spent in corporate development at two publicly traded companies and in the transaction services practice of a Big Four accounting firm, Vaswani brings a unique set of skills and experiences to Bennett Thrasher that separates him from many traditional transaction advisors in the market.
Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher, Vaswani served as the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at EarthLink, a publicly traded technology and telecommunications service provider. During his time at EarthLink, Vaswani helped with the company’s strategic transformation through the rationalization and divestiture of non-strategic products and services, the acquisition of targets centered around accelerating growth, and the merger with Fortune 500 telecommunications service provider Windstream.
Vaswani also previously served as the Manager of Corporate Development at WellCare Health Plans, a Fortune 500 managed care organization. There, he helped the company increase market share through the acquisition of several Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans during a time of immense change in the health insurance industry. Additionally, Vaswani served as a Manager in the Transaction Services practice at Deloitte, where he led buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for strategic corporate clients and private equity investors in the health care and life sciences space.

Vaswani earned his bachelor of business administration in accounting from the University of South Florida and his MBA from the University of Florida. He is also licensed as a CPA in Georgia.
