James Johnson is a Partner in Bennett Thrasher’s Financial Reporting & Assurance (FR&A) practice, serving large and middle-market clients in both the public and private sectors. He has experience performing, reviewing and supervising audit, IRO and other attestation engagements as well as supporting public clients through co-source and loan staff internal audit arrangements. James’ industry experience includes manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, pharmaceutical, airline, power and utilities, construction, technology, professional services and employee benefit plans. James began the first six years of his career with Bennett Thrasher in the firm’s FR&A practice. Prior to returning to Bennett Thrasher, he spent four years at Ernst & Young, where he provided audit and assurance services to public clients in both the airline and power and utilities industries.

James is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Georgia and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.
