Lindsey Sykes is a Partner and the Service Line Leader for our Financial Reporting and Assurance department. Lindsey has over twenty five years of business experience, having spent twelve years in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and six years as Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded company prior to joining Bennett Thrasher in February of 2007.
Lindsey has significant experience in serving companies from the start-up/development stage through large multinational public companies. He has been involved with companies in the technology, manufacturing, distribution, real estate and service industries.
As CFO of TRX, Inc. (TRXI), Lindsey was a key member of management that grew the company from $26 million in revenues to $118 million while significantly increasing cash profitability from a $4 million loss to profitability of over $18 million. At TRX, he led a number of capital raises, eventually taking the company public in a $63 million IPO.
In addition to core audit engagements, Lindsey has significant mergers and acquisition experience having advised and participated in coordinating all phases of financial due diligence, deal structure, valuation analysis, fairness opinions, acquisition audits, SEC filings, post-closing negotiations, operational integration and purchase price allocation. His experience also includes various forms of capital raising, joint ventures, spin-offs and international business activities.
Lindsey graduated from the University of Georgia in 1987 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA).
