Board Member
Alana Mueller is a Partner in Bennett Thrasher’s Financial Reporting & Assurance practice and leads the firm’s Nonprofit and Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) practices. She advises organizations on complex accounting, auditing, financial reporting, governance, and regulatory matters, helping clients navigate evolving business, compliance, and reporting requirements.
With more than 30 years of public accounting experience, Alana serves a diverse client base that includes nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, broker-dealers, investment funds, professional services firms, manufacturing and distribution companies, telecommunications entities, and institutions of higher education. Her experience spans organizations ranging from emerging growth companies to large, established enterprises with complex reporting and operational structures.
Alana works closely with executive leadership, boards of directors, audit committees, and finance teams on accounting and financial reporting matters, regulatory compliance, governance, internal controls, and audit readiness. She is known for her practical, collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality, inspection-ready assurance services.
As leader of Bennett Thrasher’s Nonprofit and EBP practices, Alana helps organizations navigate industry-specific accounting, auditing, and regulatory developments while strengthening governance, financial reporting, and risk management processes.
Alana is a former Board member of the Cobb Community Foundation and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Kennesaw State University Foundation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and is a CPA licensed in Georgia.
