Senior Manager
Shannon is a senior manager in Bennett Thrasher’s Personal Financial Services practice, based in the Denver office, specializing in tax compliance and planning for family offices, individuals, and multigenerational wealth groups. She helps clients accumulate and preserve wealth by identifying tax-saving opportunities, managing risk, and providing solutions tailored to their unique needs. Shannon’s expertise includes income tax planning, financial planning, and philanthropic planning. Additionally, Shannon has experience in compliance for individuals, estate and gift, foundations, investment partnerships, private equity, real estate, and multistate requirements. Many of her clients are entrepreneurs and multigenerational family business owners, and she values building collaborative relationships with both clients and their internal teams.
Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher, Shannon was a senior manager at Plante Moran in Denver and a senior tax associate at Richey May. Before becoming a CPA, she spent more than a decade in sales in the wholesale mortgage industry and residential title and escrow. With 13 years of experience in public accounting, Shannon is committed to delivering exceptional client service. She also has a passion for mentoring and supporting the professional growth of younger team members.
Shannon earned her B.A. in Communication from the University of Northern Colorado and her accreditation in Public Accounting from Metropolitan State University. She is a member of the AICPA, the Colorado Society of CPAs, and the Women’s Estate Planning Council, where she has also served on the board.
