Alex Knight is a Managing Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Personal Financial Services practice. Alex has more than 30 years of experience providing sophisticated tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, corporate executives and entrepreneurs. Knight specializes in income, partnership, trust, gift and estate tax planning, multistate tax compliance, private investment structuring, and philanthropic planning. Alex combines deep technical knowledge with a personalized approach to help clients achieve their goals.
Prior to joining the firm, Alex was the co-founder of Knight & Galligan, LLC, where he built a highly regarded practice serving clients across the United States. Earlier in his career, he held various roles with the Big Four. He has international experience including more than four years living and working in Europe, with assignments in Paris, France, and Brussels, Belgium.
Alex earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia and Tennessee. He is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
