Tim Watt is a Partner in the Tax department and is a member of the Real Estate practice. He has over 13 years of experience and works primarily in the US real estate industry focusing on complex tax consulting and compliance engagements for domestic international investors, developers, contractors, managers and other closely-held real estate concerns. Tim has extensive experience with technical partnership issues and structuring transactions involving commercial, retail, industrial, multi-family and single-family residential real estate, land development, homebuilding, hospitality, resort owners and operators as well as other privately-held businesses in the retail and restaurant industries.
Tim began his career in Atlanta with Arthur Andersen where he worked as an auditor in their assurance practice serving public and privately held manufacturing and healthcare clients. He then spent over two years at Jones & Kolb CPA’s in Atlanta providing audit and tax services for real estate, investment and family partnerships, closely-held corporations, individuals and not-for-profit organizations.
Tim graduated from Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He became a Georgia CPA in 2003 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) Real Estate Section.
