Tim Oberst is a Partner in our Pass-Through Entity practice and is responsible for coordinating income tax engagements for closely-held corporations, partnerships, not-for-profit organizations and individuals. He has significant experience in corporate, partnership, individual, estate, gift and trust taxation, serving public charities and private foundations and tax research.
Tim joined Bennett Thrasher in 1998, after earning a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Before taking up a career in accounting, Tim earned a Doctor of Philosophy in History from Columbia University in New York City and was an officer in the admissions and financial aid departments of Columbia’s MBA program. Tim became a Georgia Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2000 and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
