Tom Jollay is a Partner with over thirty years accounting experience and currently serves as the head of the firm’s construction industry segment. Prior to joining the firm in 1981, he worked as an audit staff and tax senior in the Atlanta office of PriceWaterhouse LLP from 1977 through 1980. He provides corporate, partnership and individual tax services with particular expertise in mergers, acquisitions and business consulting including strategic planning.
Tom has clients in many different industries including construction, manufacturing / distribution, retailing, healthcare, technology, insurance, trucking, real estate and professional services. He has significant experience consulting with closely-held and family businesses, and has conducted seminars on tax planning for various groups. He has also rendered services in litigation matters including contract disputes, lost profits and dissenting shareholder actions.
Tom graduated with honors from the University of Georgia in 1977 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1979 licensed in Georgia. He completed the Mergers and Acquisitions Academy at Kennesaw State University in 2015. He is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and the Surety Association of Georgia (SAOG). Tom is currently serving on the Dekalb Medical Foundation Board of Trustees and on the Construction Industry Advisory Board at Kennesaw State University. He has previously served as Chairman of the Finance Committee, Stewardship Committee and as a Deacon at Smoke Rise Baptist Church, as well as a coach for youth basketball and softball teams. He also has served as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement.
