Raygan is a CPA, Tax Partner, and co-leader of Bennett Thrasher’s Private Equity Funds & Investment Companies practice, advising private equity funds, venture capital funds, credit funds, fund-of-funds, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisors (RIAs). He specializes in tax structuring, compliance, and high-level consulting for investment vehicles that are buying, selling, and recapitalizing portfolio companies. His expertise centers on complex partnership taxation and designing fund structures that maximize effectiveness and investor returns.

He works closely with fund leadership to deliver timely and accurate investor K-1s, manage demanding reporting deadlines, and build reliable compliance processes that instill confidence among investors. Raygan advises funds throughout the transaction lifecycle, helping anticipate tax ramifications before deals close, avoid surprises at exit, and understand reporting obligations to investors. His experience spans early-stage venture capital funds investing in technology companies, established private equity groups acquiring profitable businesses, and credit funds pursuing debt-focused strategies.

Raygan also supports underlying portfolio companies by coordinating tax planning, SALT reviews, R&D credit opportunities, and compliance needs across Bennett Thrasher’s tax services. He is known for helping fund clients scale, from emerging managers with one or two vehicles to established platforms with more than 20 entities and $3 billion in assets under management. His approach emphasizes proactive planning, effective use of offshore resources, and leveraging the right technology tools to streamline fund operations and investor reporting.
