Nina Desai is the Partner and leader of Bennett Thrasher’s Credits & Incentives Practice, where she helps clients identify and maximize valuable federal and state tax credits and incentives. While she oversees the firm’s full suite of credits and incentives services, Nina’s primary focus is Research & Development (R&D) tax credits. She also has extensive experience with Cost Segregation Studies and Employer-Provided Childcare Tax Credits.
Nina began her career specializing in R&D tax credits and continues to advise companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 organizations on maximizing and sustaining these valuable tax incentives. She regularly conducts technical interviews with subject matter experts, analyzes complex research activities, and prepares technical memorandums to support credit claims. Her industry experience spans construction, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, and technology.
A licensed attorney in Georgia, Nina is actively involved in the startup community and is a frequent speaker on R&D tax incentives. She regularly presents at organizations such as Atlanta Tech Village and the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), educating entrepreneurs and growing companies on opportunities to leverage R&D tax credits to fuel innovation and growth.
