Midwest Business Development Leader
Kevin Moyer is the Midwest Leader in Bennett Thrasher’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) group focusing on business development and relationship management for prospective clients and referral partners seeking assistance with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Kevin has a strong network nationally with deep-rooted ties within the deal community in the Midwest. From a coverage perspective, Kevin directly targets strategic buyers and sellers as well as private equity investors. Kevin also cultivates relationships with key centers of influence for the TAS practice, including business brokers, investment bankers, lawyers, and lenders, amongst others.
Kevin is uniquely qualified to help identify the needs of clients going through a transaction as he has a broad spectrum of experience working directly on deals. As a former advisory practitioner, Kevin previously served as a Partner and TAS Practice Leader at SAX LLP, another top 100 public accounting firm. In this role, Kevin was charged with overall practice development strategy and delivery of client related services. He advised private equity and corporate clients on financial and operational due diligence engagements, performance improvement initiatives and turnaround and restructuring mandates. Kevin also spent time at EY-Parthenon in the Transaction Strategy & Execution group. In that capacity, Kevin mainly advised on sell and separate engagements where he executed on preparation, readiness, and diligence on carve-outs, spin-offs, and divestitures for leading private equity firms and blue-chip strategic clients. Kevin also has hands-on M&A experience working in-house on the deal team at a large public company as well as in a family office setting, holding roles in corporate development at Paychex and on the investment team at Simon Group Holdings.
Kevin is an alumnus of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania and is a research scholar in the PhD program at the Tiffin University School of Business while contributing as a doctoral research member to the Financial Management Association, which promotes the development and understanding of basic and applied research in finance.
