Evan Ottaviano is a Partner in Bennett Thrasher’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. He specializes in providing due diligence support for merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions to private equity and strategic clients. His expertise encompasses buy-side and sell-side accounting and financial due diligence, as well as other transaction-related projects. Evan has worked with companies across various industries, including construction, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, private equity, professional services, real estate, technology, and telecommunications.

Before joining TAS, Evan served as a Manager in Bennett Thrasher’s Valuation group. During this time, he conducted business valuations for privately held and publicly traded companies. These valuations covered a range of purposes, such as estate and tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and purchase price allocations. This experience and unique perspective allow him to understand the value drivers of a deal as well as the “why” of the diligence process, not just the calculations. Additionally, Evan gained corporate finance experience in the telecom industry during his tenure at Cox Communications, where he developed financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives.

Evan’s expertise is also recognized in his role as an instructor for financial diligence courses in the certification program for the M&A Source. Additionally, he is an active member of the Georgia Society of CPAs Information Technology Advisory Council, where he contributes his insights and expertise in the intersection of information technology and the accounting profession.

Evan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in both Accounting and Finance from Kennesaw State University and his Master of Business Administration from Mercer University.
