As Cost Segregation Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Tax Credits and Incentives practice, Duwayne Sibley brings close to two decades of experience in cost segregation, tax incentives and credits, and energy efficiency programs. He works with clients to maximize value by optimizing federal depreciation strategies, conducting fixed asset and repair studies, uncovering deductions and credits, and supporting audit defense efforts.
Throughout his career, Duwayne has led projects across diverse industries, including multi-family residential developments, banking and financial services, hotels and hospitality, high-rise commercial office buildings, retail and restaurant operations, manufacturing facilities, and automotive dealerships. His breadth of experience enables him to deliver practical, tailored solutions that address both technical and business needs and as an IRS Enrolled Agent, Duwayne is licensed by the Department of the Treasury.
Before joining Bennett Thrasher, Duwayne served as a senior manager in the Tangible Property Services group at RSM US LLP. He also held leadership roles as a regional cost segregation leader at Moss Adams LLP and as a purchasing director for one of the nation’s largest home builders.
