Dane Harris is the Director of Bennett Thrasher’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, serving as the M&A Market Lead in the Texas region and based in the Dallas area. Dane is responsible for ensuring that clients in this region have a constant point of contact and for building relationships with other partners in the deal ecosystem. As a result, Dane is able to provide clients not only with expertise with regards to their engagement, but also serves as an outbound referral resource for clients. In his day-to-day role, Dane specializes in advising private equity investors on mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, recapitalizations and divestitures. Dane has more than 10 years of experience across a wide variety of accounting and finance disciplines. He began his career in commercial banking before joining the Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice of KPMG in Hamburg, Germany. While at KPMG, Dane was responsible for guiding strategic blue-chip clients through complex multinational transactions. In addition to this Big 4 experience, Dane also brings extensive middle-market experience to Bennett Thrasher, having served in the TAS group of a Top 10 US CPA firm in Dallas, Texas. During his time in the middle-market, Dane led private equity investors through investments and divestitures in a wide range of industries, including: healthcare roll-ups; manufacturing & distribution; logistics & 3PL providers; SaaS and early-stage investments; franchisor organizations; multi-location retail and service organizations; and more. Throughout his career, Dane has worked on 100+ M&A transactions, with hands- on experience in both domestic and international transactions ranging from $1M – $7B in deal value. Dane brings a dynamic and versatile perspective to Bennett Thrasher clients who are pursuing a wide range of potential investments. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, spending time with family and serving on the board of the Dallas Goethe Center – participating in German language and cultural events.
