Senior Manager
Austen Calcote is a Senior Manager in Bennett Thrasher’s International Tax practice, where he focuses on tax compliance and tax planning services for U.S. and foreign multinational taxpayers. Austen has 13 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on business entities in the real estate, manufacturing, technology, and professional services industries. Austen has experience with cross-border M&A, indirect taxes, cross-border financing, organizational structuring and overseas expansion. Additionally, Austen has broad knowledge of tax planning and compliance issues facing partnerships and high net worth individuals.
Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher, Austen was at Plante Moran LLP in the International Tax specialty practice, where he assisted U.S. and foreign-based multinationals on cross-border tax planning and compliance matters. Austen co-led the firm’s Rocky Mountain region IC-DISC and FDII U.S. tax export incentives practice.
Austen attended Texas Christian University, where he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honors Organization. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with dual majors in Accounting and Finance. Austen is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed with the State of Colorado.
