2021 was another impactful year for the Bennett Thrasher (BT) Foundation, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation continued to support non-profits in our community via monetary grants and volunteer opportunities for associates and we are proud to share the FY2021 BT Foundation Annual Report, which highlights these activities.
Looking Ahead
The Foundation recognizes the importance of continuing to foster a culture of volunteerism within the firm, and our goal for FY2022 is to increase associate involvement in Foundation activities. We plan to offer additional service projects and provide associates with new ways to give back. The Foundation will continue to make giving back to our community a valued part of everyone’s experience with Bennett Thrasher, and carry on with our mission of making a lasting, positive impact on the communities where our associates live and work.
The BT Foundation is also proud to share that it has established a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sub-Fund to supporting non-profit organizations working on DE&I initiatives in our communities. The fund was established with an initial grant of $300,000 in December 2021 and BT is excited to announce this development in conjunction with the firm’s recognition of Black History Month.
Use of the endowment funds is separate from the general BT Foundation grant making and will be limited to supporting programs recommended by BT’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. This endowment serves to follow-through on BT’s Commitment to Action and the firm’s strong commitment to champion change where our associates live and work. The endowment is expected to grow in the years to come and the firm plans to closely track its impact in our communities. Learn more about the fund here.
