Experienced tax and financial advisor strengthens the firm’s high-net-worth advisory capabilities across Atlanta and Dallas

ATLANTA, August 20, 2026 — Bennett Thrasher, a nationally recognized full-service accounting and advisory firm, announced today that Alex Knight has joined the firm as managing director. Knight will provide strategic guidance to high-net-worth individuals across the Atlanta and Dallas regions, helping clients navigate complex tax and financial matters, identify planning opportunities and make informed decisions aligned with their long-term goals.

Knight brings more than three decades of experience, having worked at a Big Four accounting firm and then another national accounting firm before founding Knight & Galligan, LLC in 2016. He specializes in advising clients with complex tax and financial needs, including high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and corporate executives. Knight focuses on income and estate tax planning, as well as tax compliance for his clients. His areas of expertise include individual, partnership and fiduciary taxation.

Knight earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Tennessee. He also attained a Master of Accountancy degree with an emphasis on taxation from the University of Tennessee. Knight is also a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
