Mark Barrett

Mark Barrett is a Senior Manager in Bennett Thrasher’s Financial Reporting & Assurance practice and is based in the firm’s Denver office. With nearly a decade of experience providing assurance and advisory services, Mark works closely with privately held and international companies to help them navigate complex financial reporting requirements, strengthen internal controls, and achieve their business objectives.

Mark serves clients across a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, hospitality, and employee benefit plans. He has extensive experience planning and executing financial statement audits, coordinating multi-location engagements, and delivering practical insights that support business growth and compliance. His background serving both domestic and international organizations allows him to understand the unique challenges facing companies operating in dynamic and evolving markets.

Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher, Mark spent more than five years with another public accounting firm, where he focused on assurance services for registered investment companies, manufacturing and distribution businesses, and employee benefit plans. During this time, he developed deep technical expertise in financial reporting and audit methodologies while working with organizations across a variety of industries.

Since joining Bennett Thrasher in 2021, Mark has continued to advance within the firm’s Financial Reporting & Assurance practice, progressing from Senior Accountant to Manager and now Senior Manager. He is committed to building strong client relationships and providing responsive, high-quality service that helps organizations make informed business decisions with confidence.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Ohio.
