The BT Foundation is proud to announce it has donated 128 boxes of food to the Center for Family Resources’ annual Thanks for Giving food drive. This year’s food drive provides Thanksgiving meals and pantry staples for individuals and families in Cobb County who have been directly impacted by COVID-19.
Although the coronavirus has caused uncertainty in nearly all aspects of everyday life, it is inspiring to witness our community navigate this new normal and support local businesses and nonprofits. The BT Foundation and BT Associates are committed to giving back to our community and are proud to have rallied behind the hospitality industry by donating over $10,000 to the Giving Kitchen.

In an article published in the September / October issue of Current Accounts, the official publication of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, Bennett Thrasher’s Marketing Manager Allie Donahue lays out the firm’s summer initiative to raise awareness for mental health wellness in the workplace and to give back to the community.
In a recent article, Accounting Today mentioned Bennett Thrasher for the firm’s efforts regarding charitable giving. Specifically, the article notes that the firm “contributes half of 1 percent of its top-line revenues into the BT Foundation on an annual basis.”
In the December 2017 issue of Georgia Trend, Ken Thrasher, one of Bennett Thrasher’s co-founders, discusses the creation of the BT Foundation and the impact it has made on the Atlanta community, as well as the firm internally.
Hurricane Harvey and Maria affected countless people with devastating winds, flooding and mass devastation. BT associates wanted to help those impacted by raising funds, giving directly to the American Red Cross, to aid relief efforts.

Milliken interviewed employees, including partner Michael Dukes and marketing specialist Allie Blessing, about how the hikes embody the firm’s active, outdoor spirit, promote team-building and have a charitable component, as well.
Bennett Thrasher associates are getting ready for a summer of adventure as they prepare to hike the Georgia portion of the Appalachian Trail! BT associates will be split up into teams, each team will hike 79 miles throughout the summer enduring a 21,902 elevation change.
