Bennett Thrasher, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing certified public accounting and consulting firms, is pleased to announce the promotion of four professionals to partnership, effective July 1, 2022.

The new Bennett Thrasher partners are:
- Laurie Bizzell, Insurance Tax practice leader and Investment Tax practice co-leader
- Joe Cronmiller, Tax practice
- Chris Cuzzourt, Personal Financial Services practice
- Aaron Scale, Tax practice and Construction practice co-leader
Laurie Bizzell, CPA leads the firm’s Insurance Tax Practice and co-leads the firm’s Investment Company Tax Practice. She brings more than 20 years of domestic and international financial consulting experience to her role. With her specialized background in the insurance and investment company industries, Laurie delivers strategic insights on insurance and tax issues of offshore reinsurers and alternative market structures for insurance companies, investment companies and multinational clients.
Laurie received both her Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and Master of Accountancy (Taxation) from Auburn University.
Joe Cronmiller, CPA has extensive experience working on federal and state income tax provisions (ASC 740) and consulting services for large and middle-market domestic and international corporate clients. His experience includes working with clients in the manufacturing, distribution, franchise business and technology industries.
In his free time, Joe volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Auburn University.
Chris Cuzzourt, CPA specializes in tax planning and income tax consulting for high-net-worth individuals and their businesses as a leader in the Personal Financial Services practice. Chris works closely with attorneys, executors and trustees to administer tax compliance, estates and trusts. Additionally, Chris advises executives and high-income employees with stock options and partnership investments.
Chris received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Berry College.
Aaron Scale, CPA serves as co-leader of the Construction practice and a member of the Tax practice group. He brings extensive experience in partnership, S corporation and individual taxation to his new role. Throughout his career, Aaron has worked with clients in various industries, including construction, manufacturing and distribution, professional services and real estate.
Aaron earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) and Master of Accountancy from Georgia Southern University.
