The Dallas Business Journal recently interviewed Dane Harris, regional Transaction Advisory Services Market Leader for BT, about the firm’s expansion into Texas and the current landscape for middle-market deals. Harris, who was hired by the firm to lead its Transaction Advisory Services practice in Texas and nearby regions, discussed how BT intends to continue to grow organically and intentionally in North Texas and beyond, and shared how COVID-19 has provided an opportunity to do business differently.
Harris shares about BT’s growth strategy and expansion, “It’s not growth just for the sake of growth, here’s the unique value proposition that we offer, which is flexibility, and deep expertise in M&A transaction advisory services… I feel like there’s a real opportunity to be a key player in the middle market space and Dallas.”
He also shared what he enjoys about advising in the middle-market space. “I fell in love with the roll-up-the-sleeves mentality that I think is prevalent in the middle-market advisory space in particular, where everything is clean and you can really dig in and add a lot of value,” Harris said.
The article also highlighted the explosive M&A growth that the entire country has experienced, including in the Dallas market. BT Partner and Transaction Advisory Services Practice leader Vijay Vaswani stated, “We have experienced exceptional growth in this service line and intend to replicate the success we had in Atlanta and the southeast by putting boots on the ground in Dallas and several other key markets.”
