What’s the BT Foundation Been Up To? | Bennett Thrasher Skip to main content

A few of the BT Foundation’s recipients recently visited the office to meet with Foundation members and receive their grants. Among those recipients include Susan G. Komen, Share the Magic, Nic’s Kicks, Hope Thru Soap, and Crossroads Community Ministries. These organizations represent the full spectrum of non-profit organizations striving to better our community. Susan G. Komen is fighting to end breast cancer. Share the Magic is a youth literacy program started by former UGA and New England Patriots wide receiver, Malcolm Mitchell. Nic’s Kicks seeks to build productive relationships and make a positive impact on the next generation using shoes as a gateway. Hope Thru Soap provides a mobile shower experience for the homeless and those in need. Finally, Crossroads Community Ministries seeks to empower the homeless on the road to self-sufficiency. We are very proud to have supported these organizations and many more through our grants and our service opportunities in Q1.

Looking Ahead

The BT Foundation has many upcoming events and initiatives for Q2. We’re embarking on a holiday-time supply drive for Hope Thru Soap, and a supply drive for Canine Assistants, an organization that trains service dogs for those needing the use of one. During the month of November, we are matching employee charitable donations up to $100 for an organization of their choosing. In January, we will have our 4th annual chili cook-off in which all of the proceeds raised will go to a charity of the winner’s choice, along with a matching donation from the Foundation. We will also start planning for our first of two firm wide services day to take place in May 2020.

The Foundation is committed to helping the Atlanta community. We encourage employees to get out and make a difference in their community. Giving our time and resources to create positive change within our surrounding community is the cornerstone of everything the Foundation does
