Accounting Today Highlights How BT Professionals Are Spending Their Summer

In an article published recently, Accounting Today highlights what several Bennett Thrasher professionals are up to this summer, including Aaron Epp and Rachel Cash’s secondment in Australia and partner Kelly Smith’s adventures in Ireland.

From July to October this year, Aaron and Rachel are participating in Bennett Thrasher’s exchange program with Daniel Allison & Associates, an affiliate firm located in Melbourne, Australia. While in the land down under, Aaron and Rachel are handling small and large audits, working directly with DA & Associates’ staff and partners, getting to know clients and working with different accounting methodology mandated by the Australian Accounting Standards Board.

Overall, the experience in Australia provides associates with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be fully immersed in a new culture, build lasting relationships and work with clients that are far from home.

Meanwhile, Kelly was journeying through Ireland on a Game of Thrones tour, making her way through Northern Ireland where many of the scenes were filmed and where her now-fiancé proposed. She saw the GoT studio, costumes and sets, including Castle Ward where the scenes in Winterfell were filmed.
