Ken worked for the Atlanta office of Price Waterhouse LLP from 1974 to 1980 as an audit senior and tax manager. His work at Price Waterhouse included three years in the audit department and three years in the tax department. He left as a tax manager to form Bennett Thrasher in 1980.
Ken earned the degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration in 1973 and Masters of Accountancy in 1974 at the University of Georgia. He became a Georgia CPA in 1976 and earned the AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist designation in 1998. Ken is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA's Personal Financial Planning Section. He is also a member of the Capital City Club.He is a past President of the Lovett Lionbackers and Buckhead Baseball, Inc. and served as a volunteer coach for Buckhead Baseball and Northside Youth Organization from 1987-2001. Ken serves on the Board of Trustees of The Southern Federal Tax Institute and the Northwest Atlanta Young Life Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Leadership Ministries, Inc., Chairman of the Leadership Ministries Foundation, and serves on the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Alumni Board.
