Steve is President and Chief Investment Officer of BT Wealth Management. His role as Chief Investment Officer is to lead the Investment committee in establishing investment policy for our clients. He is responsible for implementing investment policy in client accounts consistent with their individual goals and objectives.
Prior to joining BT Wealth Management, Steve worked for Earnest Partners an institutional money manager in Atlanta, with over $20 Billion under Management. Prior to Earnest, he was a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst for Crawford Investment Counsel for nine years. Prior to Crawford, Steve was an associate for Homrich & Berg Inc. and a tax consultant for Deloitte & Touche.
Steve is a chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He holds a Bachelors degree in accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida. He is a member of the Financial Literacy Committee of the Georgia Society of CPAs whose goal is to promote financial literacy for all Georgians. He is an avid triathlete and has completed six Ironman triathlons including the Ironman World championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
