Bennett Thrasher Foundation, in conjuction with Atlanta based CPA firm, Bennett Thrasher, announces the election of its new officers for 2010. Chris Gilligan, IT Manager, will serve as President; 2009 was Chris’ first year on the Board, but his leadership of initiatives including Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots made him an excellent choice for the role. Other officers include: Justin Walker, FR&A Senior, Treasurer and Paul Dubsky, FR&A Manager, Secretary. Current members of the board include: past presidents, David Thompson (2009) and Tiffany Scales (2006-2008); Bennett Thrasher co-founding Shareholder, Ken Thrasher; Tax Shareholder, Cary Rodin; FR&A Senior and former Secretary, Will Howell; and HR Analyst, Stephanie Crawford.
Chris is very enthusiastic about the upcoming year stating “In 2010, I would like to build on the great work the foundation has done since its inception. One of my goals for the foundation is to complete the firm's second Habitat for Humanity house. This event really allows our associates the chance to see a project from start to finish and the direct effect their contribution has on the community.”
Bennett Thrasher Foundation exists to “give their talents, gifts, and service to charitable organizations fostering the long term development and success of individuals in the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Community.” In 2009, BT Foundation gave monetary donations to over 25 non-profit organizations resulting in approximately $75,000 funded by Bennett Thrasher’s top line revenue.
