Bennett Thrasher Shareholder Scott Hazy was recently profiled for an article that appeared on the Georgia State University GSU Magazine website.  In the article, “An International Twist,” Hazy recounts how an international business course altered the path of his career.  While he continued his major in accounting, he said “that class propelled me to maintain an interest in international affairs.” Today he specializes in international audit and finance reporting for Bennett Thrasher and most recently was elected president of DFK International, a top 10 international association of independent accounting firms and business advisers.  Hazy’s advice to students of all ages? “The world is becoming a very small place and a tight community. Get outside of your comfort zone and get out there and learn from it!”
