Atlanta CPA Firm Bennett Thrasher announces the addition of Peter Stathopoulos and Jeffrey Eischeid as Shareholders.
Peter Stathopoulos is a new Shareholder leading the firm's State and Local Tax efforts. Peter brings significant experience in the area of state and local taxation and economic development incentives. Prior to joining the firm in October of 2008, he was a partner with a national law firm and practiced in the area of state and local tax controvery and litigation. Prior to entering private law practice, Peter was a principal consultant in the multistate tax consulting practice of a Big Four accounting firm and was a tax policy attorney with the Georgia Department of Revenue and led the drafting of regulations for many of Georgia's current tax credits.
Peter earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
Jeffrey Eischeid is a new Shareholder in the firm's Personal Financial Services practice. Jeff has extensive experience in advising closely held businesses, and the families that own them, regarding the complex tax and financial issues they face. His major areas of expertise include income tax planning, estate tax planning and personal financial planning. He has served clients in a wide variety of industries including real estate, construction, financial services, manufacturing, and wholesale/retail distribution. Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher, Jeff worked in the tax department of a Big Four accounting firm where he was a partner for 15 years. He served most recently as that firm's national partner-in-charge of its personal financial planning practice.
Jeff earned both his Masters of Accountancy and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is a Georgia CPA and has earned the AICPAs Personal Financial Specialist designation. |
